During science week last Thursday night two senior science teams travelled from Borris Vocational School along with their teachers Ms Atkinson and Ms Hogan, to Carlow IT for the regional final.
The team members on team one were: Cian Mahon, Eimear Murphy and Eibhlin Fortune and team two were Kevin Quinlan, Jack Mahon and John Foley.
The quiz consisted of eight rounds of six questions on biology, chemistry and biology. On the night seventeen teams turned up, all from schools in Wexford, Carlow and Kilkenny.
Both BVS teams did extremely well on answering the varied questions asked by IASTA quiz organiser Aodhagan O'Sulleabhain.
Team one, ended up coming second on the night which means that they now go on to represent the school in the all Ireland final held in Trinity College on Saturday 21st.
We would like to wish the team the best of luck on the day and to be very proud of their achievement to date.
